JLO invokes Hillary Clinton and indirectly endorses the presidential candidate in her new music video. Actually, “Ain’t Your Mama” quotes several figures from the women’s rights movement from the past and present. The music video starts with Hillary Clinton’s famous speech in Beijing “Women’s rights are human rights and humans rights are women’s rights,” followed by Patricia Arquette “it’s our time to have wage equality and equal rights for women in the United States of America,” and Gloria Steinem’s “This is no simple reform, it really is a revolution.” In other words, JLO and women everywhere are fed with being told how to look, how to act, how to exist etc. JLO joins other ladies of the new women’s rights movement in seeking equal pay, healthcare access, etc. “Ain’t Your Mama” chastises men with old world views, they are officially on blast.
