Mike Williams Shares Advice From Tiesto

The 21-year-old Dutch producer, DJ, and instrumentalist talks about his new track “Feels Like Yesterday,” early career insights, and offers a questionable idea on what the official Mike Williams fragrance would smell like.

He had some pretty good advice about working on projects that could be used [for any situation]: always go a bit further than you think [you should]. Because, I tend to stop at a certain point, and I’m like ‘Ah, that’s not going to work.’ And he would say, ‘No—keep going, keep going, keep going.’ You eventually get there. It was really good advice.”

Williams also shared an odd ritual that he observes while performing:

“When I play, I take my shoes off. Because it feels natural to me. Like I’m standing in my own bedroom or something.”
