Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have had a history of collaborating together, something that has always been a delight to see. However, this summer they will be going on tour together! This will be Demi’s fifth headlining tour, and Nick’s third tour. Nick is has a new single out, “Close,” and is getting ready to release a new album, entitled Last Year Was Complicated. Additionally, it was just announced today that the young star will be performing on Saturday Night Live on April 16, which he tweeted that he is “so excited about this.”
The Future Now Tour will be starting out on June 24 and ending on September 17. They will be traveling to 40 cities in the US and Canada for the tour. Despite the fact that they have yet to tour together, they have collaborated in the past. Of course, Demi is featured in Nick’s song “Avalanche,” but Nick also became Demi’s creative director for her last tour, the Neon Lights Tour. Although Nick was not actually on tour with Demi, they worked closely together on that tour as he was in charge of overseeing so many aspects of it. He also expressed that, “I was immediately excited when I was offered the position. The relationship that Demi and I had over eight years really gives me the insight into how to best communicate with her and her team.”
The tour was announced back in late October, however it seems that the two have been getting ready for the tour by spending some time together. And by spending time together, I mean the two recently performed at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Nick sang his song “Jealous,” while Demi sang back-up for him, and Demi sang “Confident,” with Nick playing the acoustic guitar to accompany her as they sang for the children. Absolutely adorable. Their friendship is precious and surely their tour together will be also.
