Notaker Loves ‘Lord of The Rings’ Theme Song

We caught up with David Nothaker, better known as Notaker, at the Big Joe® Lounge for Miami Music Week 2018 and discussed his dream dinner guests, undying love for the Lord of The Rings theme, favorite performance memories, and the potential living conditions atop Mount Everest.

The 28-year-old artist has been on the national electronic music scene for not even three years, yet in that brief time, he’s earned over seven million Spotify listens for his single “Infinite” and millions more for his other work. We asked about his favorite things he’s worked on recently, and it appears he wants to build upon the success of his recent departures from his style:

“My last release with Monstercat was a track called “Too Smooth,” which was kind of more of a poppy influence I was working on. I did the track with a vocalist, Grey MTTR, and it went over really well. The fans were really receptive of this change-up of my style and whatnot…. currently, I’m working on my next Vessel series, which is kind of an outer-space themed EP series that I do… it’s really neat, centered on this sci-fi and story-driven kind of music, so I’m really excited about that. It’s almost finished, and it’s going to be awesome.”

Notaker’s EP will pick up where the last entry in his “The Vessel” sci-fi series, Genesis, left off, and is currently positioned for a summer 2018 release.
