Pop star and actress Olivia Holt is just like the rest of us – sometimes she goes through hard times. The “Generous” singer’s childhood friend recently passed away, and she wrote a touching tribute to her on Instagram.
“Hard to believe it’s already been a week since heaven gained the prettiest angel,” Holt wrote. “I miss her. Chandler Rhea Pipkin left such a special mark on the world. Being back in my hometown this past week with some of the people we grew up with and celebrating her life gave me so much perspective. I ask everyone to please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers…”
She then added the important reminder to always tell those you love exactly how you feel, because the future is never guaranteed: “And friendly reminder to keep the people you’ve shared endless memories and laughs with close. Don’t take those times for granted. Keep in touch. No matter the distance, no matter the business. Because we don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we have today.”

On a lighter note, Holt also recently talked with Teen Vogue about her upcoming role in “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger.” The show will premiere on June 7 on Freeform, and stars Holt as Tandy Bowen (Dagger) and Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson (Cloak), two teenagers with superpowers.
“I feel like these characters are so complicated,” Holt said. “And the things they are going through are the things that are happening in this day and age. It really tells the story of what a white female is going through in 2018 and what a black young male is going through in 2018. We see these characters unfold into themselves in the most complex ways, and I feel as humans we connect to that.”
