PHILIP GEORGE NOMINATED FOR A BRIT AWARD

English DJ and producer, Philip George, best known for his hit songs, ‘Wish You Were Mine’ and Billboard Dance Chart Top 10 – ‘Alone No More’ with Anton Powers, is over the moon to be nominated for his first BRIT Award. His debut dance track ‘Wish You Were Mine’, released in January 2015, was announced as a contender for the Best British single at a ceremony in London on the 14th January, broadcast on ITV.

The Nottingham Post reported the 22-year old Philip George DJ from Chilwell admitted to being shocked at his Brit Award nomination. “I literally don’t know how I’ve done this. I’ve been nominated for best British single against these titans”, he said on Twitter alongside a photo featuring all the nominees.

At the BRIT Awards Nominations Launch he admit, “It’s amazing. I’m not going to lie, looking at who I’m up against; Adele, Ed Sheeran, Years & Years, [my chances are] very small! I’m really happy to be in this position though, it’s a stepping stone in the right direction.” Philip is also a big fan of his competition, namely Adele – and he explained, “Adele is an inspiration to everybody. She is a true British person and I love that.”

The BRIT Awards 2016 ceremony will take place at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday 24th February 2016.
