Sam Feldt joined us at Nexus Radio’s red-carpet event presented by BPM Supreme®, and Big Joe® during Miami Music Week to talk about his plans for Miami, his concept of touring with a live band, new music and more.
Sammy Renders who is also known as Sam Feldt is a Dutch DJ and producer who first gained popularity in 2015 with his remix of Robin S’ “Show Me Love.” His remix became an instant hit and placed him on the world-wide map. Billboard described Sam Feldt as a “modern house-music superstar,” and we couldn’t agree more.
Sam discusses his latest work, which includes a remix album that was released a month before Miami Music Week and a slew of upcoming singles which are planned to be released later this year. Currently, Sam is promoting his new single “Down for Anything,” a collaboration with Australian duo MOWE.
In terms of Miami Music Week, Sam was ecstatic about having sold-out his pool party which he mentions is a very unique thing to sell out a pool party before the event. He was also really looking forward to spinning alongside Don Diablo at the NSA (No Sugar Added Party).
We asked Sam what advice he would give to his 15-year-old self, and he did not hold back.
“I don’t know if I even want a DJ because I see so many DJs, and I hear so much dance music. I think I’m going to go with a proper band, I don’t know. If I had to choose- maybe John Mayer, that would be a perfect complement for the wedding.”
