The other night SNL poked fun at the EDM genre specifically at Avicii’s song “Wake Me Up” by a fictional character “Davvinicii”. This was done in front of a fake crowd who acted like they were loving the show.

Artists like Deadmau5 praise the video saying “SNL nailed it!” And long term DJ/ producer Dieselboy also commented, “SNL nails it with DAVVINCII spoof. funny to see “performers” and EDMers it lampoons apparently thinking it’s not about them.”

While most loved it, it was a good video that sparked an interest all over the nation, maybe even farther.
