While a Swedish House Mafia reunion isn’t around the corner, the group is again in the spotlight as they head to the big screen. The group’s new documentary “Leave The World Behind” has been confirmed to have its world premiere at this year’s South by South West (SXSW) festival. The festival famous for its musical influences will take place a week prior to Winter Music Conference and Miami Music week, where the group played their last show in 2013.
The film features the trio, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello as they prepare for the collective’s impending breakup and farewell world tour. The trio reveals why they decided to disband and follows them after the decision, ending with their final show.
Executive produced by Jonas Akerlund who has directed dozens of high profile music videos such as Lady Gaga’s Telephone and Madonna’s Ray of Light, the film will appeal to fans eager to get more of Swedish House Mafia.
