Take 5 with Goodluck: Miami Music Week 2017

South African trio Goodluck arrived in Miami full of energy and excitement.  If “feels amazing to be in America for the first time – it is everything I expected and a hundred times more.”

goodluck bodyThat’s exactly how we felt when we heard their debut single, a brilliant update of the Londonbeat classic “I’ve Been Thinking About You.”  It’s a “completely different track” that “blends live music and dance music with an African influence.”

Goodluck is all about the live experience; it is actually their “mission to spread electronic live music.”  “DJ’s are not good enough,” we have to some sort of live show.  We “want to bring live instruments back into electronic music” and “we are here to take over.”

Fueled by that enthusiasm and their rider-required Buchu Water, they are “coming in with a vengeance” working on an EP full of new songs for 2017.  When asked about their goals, they said they want to play a huge show at  “Red Rocks” in Colorado and to open a music school in South Africa to help uplift the people.
