Boston-based DJ-Producer Joe Bermudez is a very recognizable name in U.S. dance radio. His pioneering mix-show Mass Movement is one of the longest running syndicated radio shows in the United States.  Joe is one of only a few people to successfully evolve from remixer to full-on producer.

Q: Before we get started, tell us about your latest project. 
My latest single is called Skitzo which features the vocals of Atlanta-rocker April Efff.  We just wanted to do something badass that people could party to -so we created this “alter-ego”  per say, one that had no limits, and one that we could go completely wild with.

Q: What is your favorite cocktail? 
I’m one of those weird DJ’s who doesn’t drink alcohol–  I know,  what a waste (laughs). My go-to non-alcoholic drink would be a smoothie of any kind. I’m a huge sucker for smoothies.

Q: Who is your celebrity DJ or Musician crush?
B Jones. She’s the resident at Pacha in Ibiza. She has the absolute best taste in music which is a big turn on, and she’s very easy on the eyes.

Q: Who would you Kiss, Marry and Vote off the Island? your options are Britney Spears, The Nervo Twins, and Xenia Ghali. 
Kiss Nervo because two is always better than one. Marry Xenia Ghali because I wouldn’t have to worry about her going crazy and shaving her head. Vote Britney Spears off the island — been there done that.

Q: If you had a time machine, which decade would you go back to? (and why)
Definitely the 90’s. That’s when house-music really broke into the mainstream, It was an exciting time for our genre. We had real warehouse raves and record stores, and Justin Bieber wasn’t on every dance track yet (laughs).
