You may travel to any remote corner of the world, and you still won’t be able to avoid news about Taylor Swift and her ex-beau Calvin Harris. Given such, you might as well read the latest nugget.
A report on TMZ suggests that Taylor Swift actually penned Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s current hit “This Is What You Came For“, but under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. The theory that Swift is actually Sjoberg is not news in Tinsel Town anymore. The original Wikipedia entry for the song, apparently, listed Harris and Swift as writers, before being edited to say Harris and Nils Sjoberg instead.
After Taylor “wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone,”, Swift encouraged Harris to instead record it with Rihanna, as Swift feared their then-relationship would overshadow it if it was released with her as the vocalist. Harris is said to have ‘dissed’ Swift in a public interview (Ryan Seacrest’s radio show) saying he couldn’t foresee working with his then-girlfriend in the future. The ‘diss’ was apparently the final nail in the coffin for Tayvin. It was a quick downward spiral from that point. One source called it “the breaking point in the relationship.” The Met Gala was several days later, when Taylor danced with Tom Hiddleston.
By the way … Taylor has the right to prohibit Calvin from performing the song as she still got the publishing rights, but she hasn’t and doesn’t plan to exercise that right. Ker-ching?
