Paul Marshman
Australian DJ and electronic music producer Paul Marshman have been making waves for the past couple of years with his tracks, most notably his January 2021 hit “This Is What We Do.” He built his reputation as one of Adelaide’s leading DJs over the last decade by seamlessly blending progressive house and pop to create his distinct sound. Now he returns with his latest release, “If It Wasn’t For You,” on Global League, highlighting his melodic and unique production style!
Emerging from 2009 So You Think You Can DJ competition, more fans have been eager to hear his hearty prog house live. Paul is known for his dynamic stage presence and outstanding performances, constantly exceeding his boundaries as a modern DJ. He is the absolute choice for South Australia’s major events, including Summerdayze, Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, and Parklife, to mention a few. His love of music fuels his creativity, which shows in his upbeat loops, creative re-edits, and booty-shaking mash-ups.
The artist has proven himself time and time again. He has been named in the top three DJs in South Australia for the past two years. Paul has been listed among Australia’s top 50 DJs four times throughout his thriving 10-year-long career. He has a strong track record as the host of “The Mainroom,” one of Australia’s most popular Saturday night dance radio programs. Q: Before we dig in, what's next for you?
I currently have a stack of Instrumentals in follow up to If It Wasn’t For You, for which I’m still looking for the right vocalists.
Q: Why did you choose to make dance music?
Dance music is my passion & has been for over ten years; learning the art of Djing producing was just the natural progression to follow for me & to take my career to where it has today.
Q: How important are lyrics?
So Important – they can make or break a song.
Q: What do you think of Robots making music? (The digital expansion within electronic/ dance music)
Absolutely if cars can drive them self’s these days then indeed, we are not far off this.
