THE Level 7 SERIES
At just 23 years old, European producer and artist Justė has stepped firmly into the global spotlight, and she did it with the lights turned off. Her breakout single “Turn The Lights Off” has become one of the year’s most undeniable dance records, racking up nearly 20 million streams on Spotify alone and generating more than one billion global radio impressions. What started as a dark, late-night club track quickly turned into a viral cultural moment, amplified by the now-infamous Jon Hamm dancing meme from Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors.
Driven by a pulsing bassline, crisp club-ready production, and hypnotic energy, “Turn The Lights Off” blends underground atmosphere with mainstream appeal. It’s a track that feels equally at home in a sweaty basement club as it does blasting through car speakers at midnight. That duality, dark yet accessible, minimal yet emotionally charged, has positioned Justė as more than a viral success story. She’s a producer-artist with genuine crossover potential.
The momentum follows her 2025 debut “World Of Wonders,” which introduced her as a rising voice in Europe’s electronic scene. But “Turn The Lights Off” changed the trajectory. The singles’ online explosion not only cemented her name among dance fans but also caught the attention of one of the industry’s most influential labels. Justė has now signed with Spinnin’ Records for upcoming releases, signaling that her viral moment is only the beginning of something much bigger.
What makes her rise particularly compelling is the clarity behind it. While many artists stumble into virality, Justė and her team believed in the track from the start. Still, even she admits the scale of its impact was surreal. The weeks following its breakthrough brought a whirlwind of interviews, meetings, and new opportunities, and with it, a heightened sense of responsibility. Rather than getting swept up in the hype, she leaned into structure and focus, staying grounded with her team and family while doubling down on her creative vision.
That vision is already evolving. Instead of chasing a replica of her viral formula, Justė is leaning deeper into speed garage and emotionally charged club sounds. There’s an intentional refinement in her next chapter, maintaining the emotional intensity and energy that connected so strongly with audiences, while exploring new textures and tempos. It’s a calculated progression, not a reaction.
During her interview, Justė opened up about the viral wave, her creative process, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. The through-line in every answer? Trust the process, stay consistent, and build step by step. For an artist so early in her career, that mindset may be her greatest advantage.
With a major label backing her, a global fanbase growing by the day, and a sound that bridges underground credibility with mainstream magnetism, Justė isn’t just riding a viral moment; she’s building a foundation. If “Turn The Lights Off” was the spark, her next releases may very well be the fire.
Q: Your single exploded online. Did you feel it coming, or did it completely surprise you?
We believed in the track, and we were working towards it, but the level it reached still surprised me. You always hope something connects, but you never really know. So when it happened like that, it felt unreal.
Q: What do you think made this track resonate so strongly with audiences worldwide?
I think it has a strong emotional energy, but still feels powerful in clubs. It is simple in a good way. The hook stays in your head, and the production feels dark but accessible at the same time.
Q: How did your life change in the weeks following the viral breakthrough?
Things started moving much faster. More interviews, more meetings, more opportunities. I also felt that people were paying more attention to what I do. It made me take everything more seriously.
Q: Viral success can be overwhelming. How did you stay grounded during the surge?
I stayed close to my team and my family. I tried to keep my routine and focus on the work. For me, it was important not to get lost in the hype but to keep building step by step.
THE Level 7 Questions
Q: Tell us about your latest or next project.
My next releases are leaning more into speed garage and emotional club sounds. Each track will have something slightly different, but still connected to my identity as an artist.
Q: What’s your creative process like when producing a new track?
We usually start with the feeling we want the song to have. Then we build the idea, melody, and structure around that. Sometimes it starts from a small hook, sometimes from a drop idea. It depends on the mood.
Q: What’s the weirdest or most unexpected place you’ve drawn inspiration from?
Honestly, sometimes from random conversations or moments during travel. Even a single phrase someone says can become a concept for a song.
Q: If you had to swap lives with a cartoon character for a week, who would it be?
Lara Croft. She is strong, independent, and always exploring new places. That sounds interesting for a week.
Q: If you could travel with a celebrity, who would it be?
Maybe someone like Beyoncé. I would love to see how she experiences the world and how she thinks creatively.
Q: What’s the most significant lesson life has taught you so far?
To stay calm and trust the process. Things do not always happen immediately, but consistency really matters.
Q: How do you handle failure?
I try to see it as feedback, not as the end. If something does not work, I analyse it and move forward. It is part of growth.
