David Guetta was just hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit, accused of stealing the sample for his song “Dangerous.”
Andre Dudek has sued the French DJ/producer for his use of the 1980s song “Illuminations,” including Warner Music and Atlantic Records as well as “Dangerous” singer Sam Martin in the lawsuit. Dudek is seeking $6 million in damages and an injunction keeping Guetta, Martin, and the record labels from any further distribution of the song.
Guetta has not yet responded publicly to the charges.
“Dangerous” is the third single off Guetta’s 2014 album, Listen.
