Q: Before we dig in, what's next for you?
I’ve been signed to majors (Sony, Universal) for 10 years, and this year I wanted to try something new. My new single “When The World Was Happy” is my first track released by Spinnin’ Records, with much more to come
Q: Why did you choose to make dance music?
I started to DJ at an early age back in 2000. I really loved playing records and making people dance. I decided not just to play other artists’ music and began making music myself in 2010 to play in the clubs.
Q: Let's create a new festival; What would you name it, Where would it be located, and Who would be the top 3 headliners?
I´ve always wanted to go to Rarotonga on the Cook Islands, that location would just be awesome! I would just bring my friends and mix it up with Diplo, A$AP Rocky and myself going b2b2b.
Q: What is music going to sound like 20 years from now?
Hard to say, but I’m a bit concerned about Artificial Intelligence taking over and making soulless music.
Q: What movie has a very memorable soundtrack?
I was at a premiere of the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” in Hollywood,
And thought the soundtrack was just incredible. Turns it out was done by José González, who is a terrific singer/songwriter.
Q: If you could bring one artist back to life, who would it be?
Freddie Mercury without a doubt. There is no other artist in the world that has created emotions through music like him. A true inspiration!
Q: What if aliens invade our planet, and they're really hot?
Let’s make a band!
Q: If you could spend a day talking to an animal, what animal would you choose and what would you want to learn from them?
A cat. They’re among the hardest to understand but the easiest to love.
Q: What do you think the world will look like in 300 years?
Let’s just say I’m not too optimistic.
Q: Who would win a fight between Spiderman and Batman
Batman would win, he’s just too smart. He would track down Peter Parker and hide his costume.
