Keep reading to discover the standouts from dance music’s latest crop of new releases!

In a collaboration that no one could have predicted (but for which we’re all supremely grateful), Jessie Ware and the xx’s Romy team up on a bombastic disco track by the name of “Lift You Up”. With production from Stuart Price and having received its live premiere at last week’s Glastonbury Festival, this soul-infused track is the perfect addition to your summer playlist.

Having enjoyed a much-deserved revival after her iconic 2002 track, “Murder on the Dancefloor”, was featured in last year’s blockbuster hit Saltburn, Sophie Ellis-Bextor has now joined forces with Felix Jaehn (“Cheerleader”, “Aint Nobody (Loves Me Better)”) on this electropop dance track that’s as dark as it is infectious.

It’s been almost three years since the tragic passing of legendary DJ and producer SOPHIE, and along with the recent announcement of a self-titled posthumous album from the artist’s estate came this banger. Featuring Kim Petra’s pitched vocals and B.C. Kingdom’s smooth verses, the track is another testament to this late-DJ’s genius and well worth a stream (or ten).

Marking her first release as an independent artist, Kesha shares the lead single from her upcoming sixth studio album. We’re not exactly sure what to make of this brilliant, bizarre new track from the multiplatinum artist… A little ska, a little pop, a little Eurodance, a little flamenco—the track has a bit of everything, and we’ve got it on repeat.

There are some musical collaborations that just make sense. Case in point: Grammy-nominated Swedish popstar Tove Lo and English DJ/producer SG Lewis. The duo joined forces on last month’s HEAT EP, a collection of sultry, dancefloor-ready tracks that bristle with innuendo and radiate chemistry. From the euphoric toplines of “Desire” to the addictive drops on the EP’s title track, HEAT evokes sweat, sex, raves, and good vibes… In short, all the ingredients for a successful summer.

And that’s a wrap to this week! To stay up to date with the latest in electronic music, including exclusive coverage of some of the genre’s biggest festivals and more editions of Fresh Finds, make sure to check back here at Nexus Radio.
