Armin van Buuren has officially confirmed that his iconic A State Of Trance (ASOT) festival will return to Rotterdam in 2025. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on Friday, February 21st, and Saturday, February 22nd, at the Ahoy Rotterdam venue.
Known for bringing together some of the biggest names in the trance music scene, the ASOT festival promises another unforgettable edition. While the full lineup has yet to be announced, the festival will feature performances from more than 25 DJs across five stages, offering an array of trance music for fans.
Armin van Buuren himself will be taking center stage on the festival’s opening night with an epic five-hour set. True to the collaborative spirit of the trance scene, van Buuren will be joined on stage by various artists from the lineup for exciting back-to-back performances.
Speaking about the event’s return, van Buuren expressed his excitement: “A State of Trance is only getting bigger and bigger, so I’m excited to partner with [promoter] Insomniac Europe as we continue to achieve greater heights. Last year, we saw a huge expansion, not only moving to Rotterdam but also turning this festival into a two-day experience with our very own hotel, two shows, dozens of artists, speakers, events and all kinds of activities. This really feels like a new chapter for us and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.”
The 2025 edition will mark the festival’s continued evolution, following its successful expansion into a two-day experience in Rotterdam last year. The inclusion of an ASOT-themed hotel, multiple shows, and various side events makes it a truly immersive experience for trance enthusiasts.
Fans eagerly awaiting the return of ASOT can grab their tickets starting tomorrow, Thursday, September 5th. Tickets are expected to sell quickly, so early purchasing is advised.
In addition to this festival news, van Buuren recently shared the tenth instalment of his A State Of Trance Ibiza mix series. This release follows the 21st instalment of his original A State Of Trance mix series, which came out in May 2023, featuring tracks from notable artists such as Ferry Corsten, HI-LO, and Lilly Palmer.
