Muze swings by the Nexus Lounge Amsterdam to spill the tea on his musical dreams and the vibes that drive his sound!

At just 24 years old, Muze is already making waves in the electronic music scene with a sound as dynamic and versatile as his journey. Hailing from Peer, Limburg, this young artist’s passion for music ignited at a young age and has only intensified over time. Whether performing at world-renowned events like Amsterdam Dance Event, Tomorrowland, Club Vaag, or Berlin’s Void Club, Muze’s boundary-pushing melodies have captured audiences across the globe. And with the launch of his own label, Liminal Records, in 2023, Muze is cementing his place as a tastemaker in electronic music.

Collaboration is at the heart of Muze’s latest ventures. “I’ve been trying to work with a lot of different local producers to connect, combine, and learn from each other,” he says. One of his most exciting projects has been a collaboration with fellow artists Mind Reflection and Sub Terra. The fruits of this creative partnership include a track set to be released on Istanbul-based Widerworks on March 8, 2025.

“These collaborations are more than just making music; they’re about building a community, sharing knowledge, and inspiring one another,” Muze explains.

Muze isn’t just about pushing boundaries—he’s about breaking them entirely. One of his most ambitious projects in the pipeline involves a live choir. Slated for release in late 2025 or early 2026, this innovative EP will feature four tracks incorporating choir vocals. But that’s not all—Muze envisions turning this concept into a full-blown live experience, blending electronic music with classical choral arrangements in a concert setting.
“Bringing these two worlds together is something I’ve always dreamed of,” Muze shares. “It’s about creating something truly unique that resonates on a deeper level.”

For Muze, music isn’t just a form of expression—it’s a medium for connection. “Within all of my music, I just want people to feel something,” he says. Whether it’s the euphoria of a summer morning, the intensity of anger in a harder track, or the melancholy of a rainy train ride, Muze channels his emotions into his melodies.

“With melodies, you can translate how you’re feeling, almost better than with words,” he reflects. “That’s why I focus on a wide range of melodic tracks, each carrying its own emotional weight.”

With a steady stream of collaborations, groundbreaking projects, and the creative platform of Liminal Records, Muze is poised to continue his ascent in the world of electronic music. Whether he’s blending genres, experimenting with new sounds, or creating moments that resonate with listeners, Muze is a name you’ll want to keep on your radar.

What do you look forward to most while visiting Amsterdam for ADE?

I’m going to the Afterlife Show at Ziggo Dome later tonight. I’m really looking forward to seeing 19:26, Rebūke and Kevin de Vries B2B Cassian amongst others. I’ve heard the production of the show will be quite amazing with a huge LED screen and an impressive lights production. So it’s promising to be quite the amazing show.

Tell us about the latest projects you're involved with.

I’ve been trying to work with a lot of different local producers to connect, combine and learn from each other. In the past month I’ve done some amazing collaborations with some talented artists like Mind Reflection and Sub Terra from my area. Our latest collaboration with Mind Reflection will be released on Widerworks, a great label based in Istanbul, on the 8th of March 2025.

Next to these collaborations, I’ve also been working on a cool project together with a live choir. Late 2025 or early 2026, we are planning to release an EP with about 4 tracks with live choir vocals and potentially also turning the project into a joint concert, bringing electronic music and a classical choir together in one unique musical experience.

If you could be any animal for a day, which one would you choose and why?

A deep-sea-fish to explore what’s really down in the depths of the ocean.

What's your go-to karaoke song when you're out with friends?

Last resort by Papa Roach for sure. I’ve once sang it in a karaoke bar somewhere in Krakow, Poland. It’s been my go-to ever since.

Would you rather have hands for feet or feet for hands?

Hands for feet 100% of the time.

What message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from your music?

Within all of my music, I just want people to feel something. It can be anything, but I want them to feel something real. It can be the happiness I’ve felt on a summer morning, the anger I’ve felt when creating some harder track or the sadness I’ve felt when producing music on a rainy train. With melodies, you can translate how you’re feeling, almost better than with words. It’s one of the reasons I love making music and focus on a wide range of melodic tracks, depending on what I’m feeling and I want people to feel when listening.
