With most of the summer and early-fall festivals announcing their long-awaited lineups, it was just a matter of time before the North Coast Music Festival team unveiled the artists visiting Chicago this summer to play this iconic festival.
Taking place from Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 3 at Chicagoland’s SeatGeek Stadium Campus, the North Coast Music Festival’s lineup had already announced tons of powerhouse performances before this most recent announcement, including headliners like Marshmello, Flume, DJ Snake, Alison Wonderland, Alesso, Lane 8, Big Gigantic, and NGHTMRE’s collaborative GIGANTIC NGHTMRE, among others.
The recent Phase 2 announcement has added solo sets from Big Gigantic and NGHTMRE and other first-time performers at North Coast, such as Chris Lorenzo, Elderbrook, HUGEL, Gordo, ATLiens, LAYZ, and Devault. In addition, festival organizers have explicitly stated their intention of supporting up-and-coming local DJs by adding over twenty names from Chicago and the Greater Chicago Area.
North Coast relocated to the SeatGeek Stadium Campus in 2021 and has hosted two highly successful festival editions since, boasting a staggering 90,000 attendees annually. A highlight of this new space is The Chill Dome, a massive air-conditioned dome that allows for taking breaks between sets and features custom lighting and various downtempo and lofi sets from the local Chicago scene. Also, as a result of their move, the festival has been able to expand its experimental art installation programming.
Last year, the festival debuted the first-ever Incendia Fire Pit, a fire-breathing dome that will be returning to the 2023 edition of North Coast. The Chill Zone and Incendia Fire Pit are only two unique spaces that have become a signature element of the North Coast Festival, providing the ideal combination of art, shopping vendors, and food and beverage offerings.
With a lineup featuring this many exciting acts, it’s no wonder tickets are being picked up fast. There are several different types that you can purchase, including a general 3-Day Pass as well as VIP and Platinum VIP tickets. The tickets have been available for purchase since March 10 and payment plans are available for all levels, starting with only a $23 down payment.
