Dutch DJ and producer Afrojack tells Dancing Astronaut in a recent interview just how innovative and fresh his new album’s sound will be— from which the best inspiration was to outright “Forget The World.”

With a different sound that’s different from the usual mainstream sound, Afrojack says that “Forget The World” is literally about forgetting the world and doing what he does best: making great music.

“I want to do something that’s honest and me” said the Dutch DJ, “like really me.”

He goes on to tell us that this album is “actual, full-on, honest, no tricks, no bull— Afrojack music.”

And with the brave and fearless decision to stray from the norm, he wants to reinvent his sound and himself.

The producer says that the successful tracks have “the same drops, the same kicks, the same build ups, the same sounds, the same specs and the same Sylenth presents until you have a hit” and he says that’s exactly what he didn’t want to do.

With his goal of evolving and becoming a better producer, only one question is left: will his fans enjoy it as much as he does?
