On February 9th Canada’s 43rd Juno awards revealed its nominees for the annual show taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 30th. This year we saw a lot of familiar names that have talent that never seems to end. Although usually the nominations are only for “native talent” this year some not so Canadian producers seem to have made the list. The familiar names on the list were up for the award Dance recording of the year, Armin van Buuren and Canadian vocalist Trevor Guthrie with the song “This is what it feels like” the fact that they were nominated together is ironic because both have been nominated together before like in 2013 for a Grammy award. Also up for the award is deadmau5’s song “album title goes here” Lucky for deadmau5 there album was the only full album to be nominated which makes it that much sweeter for them to be nominated. Sadly enough, we’re going to have to wait for the Juno awards to see what actually is going to happen but for now let’s hope for a winner we all know and love!
