BEYONCE TO JOIN COLDPLAY AT SUPERBOWL

Santa Clara better double up on their backup generators, because Beyonce is reported to be joining Coldplay on stage at Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium on February 7th!

Beyonce headlined her own Super Bowl half-time show in 2013 in New Orleans, where the electricity famously went out, leaving the stadium dark and fans confused. This time, however, the pop queen is there to support Coldplay, along with Bruno Mars and likely one other as yet unnamed A-list musical act (according to MTV, rumors are swirling that Rihanna will perform).

Her addition to the half-time roster is not entirely surprising; Beyonce collaborated with the British band on the track “Hymn for the Weekend” from their new album “A Head Full of Dreams.” We’re sure to hear a live rendition at the show. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told Entertainment Weekly that Beyonce is “all goodness.” He added, “This album is about celebrating and this angel figure kept popping up and I was thinking, ‘Gosh, Beyoncé would be perfect, but she’d never do it.’ One day, we were talking and I was trying to drop the hint, but I didn’t want to be imprudent. And she said, ‘I’ll do it.’”

So get ready for some musical awesomeness on February 7th, and let’s hope the lights don’t go out this time!
