British DJ Calvin Harris is recovering after being injured in a car crash in Los Angeles last Friday (20 May) on his way to the airport for a Las Vegas performance.
Harris was a passenger in a Cadillac 4×4 when the vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Beetle in Coldwater Canyon, near Beverley Hills. The Scottish producer was taken to hospital with a cut to his nose after the collision at around 11pm local time on Friday. Calvin suffered a laceration on his face that was bad enough to require immediate attention. Paramedics took him to an L.A. hospital. Calvin reportedly left the hospital “against medical advice,” when a private room wasn’t available. The DJ has since returned to his Beverly Hills home. In the other vehicle a juvenile was ejected from the vehicle for not wearing a seatbelt and suffered a broken pelvis. All the passengers in the car were juveniles.
His team confirmed on his official Facebook page:
“Adam’s transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days – Calvin HQ.”
As a result of the car-crash, Calvin Harris was forced to cancel his show in Omnia as a result, and later cancelled last night’s (May 21) headlining performance at Hangout Fest in Alabama.
Positive vibes have poured in from his fans all over, all wishing him a speedy recovery.
