The lineup for Chicago Pride 2024 has been announced, and it’s already looking set to be one of the month’s most spectacular events. Including major names like Natasha Bedingfield and JoJo Siwa, Chicago Pride Fest will be a two-day extravaganza in the heart of Chicago’s iconic Boystown – the nation’s first officially recognized gay village.
But who else can we expect to see at this year’s event? And when will the event take place?
Pride in Northalsted
Organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, Chicago Pride Fest is an amazing celebration with music, dancing, and an incredible range of artists. Alongside the music, the event will feature food, merchandise, and fun events such as the Proud Pet Parade and even a Youth Pride Space for 12-18-year-olds.
Of course, Northalsted is the perfect place to host a pride event, given its incredible local history. Also known as Boystown—a colloquial name that many businesses have dropped in favor of the more inclusive Northalsted—the area features more than 60 LGBTQ+ bars and is widely recognized as a hub for Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community.
The Lineup
With three stages and two days’ worth of programming, it suffices to say that the lineup for this year’s festival is huge. Alongside Bedingfield and Siwa, the lineup also features Sapphira Cristál, Bob the Drag Queen, Amber Riley, and Empress Of – and those are just the most prominent names.
Of course, the Northalsted Business Alliance has always worked hard to promote local excellence, so fans of home-grown Chicago artists won’t be disappointed. Local acts include The Divas, Too Much Molly Band, Bev Rage & The Drinks, and Sixteen Candles, to name a few. As always, it’ll truly celebrate the LGBTQ+ community both in and outside Chicago.
Information for Attendees
Chicago Pride Fest 2024 will be held on June 22nd and 23rd, one week before PRIDEChicago’s annual Chicago Pride Parade. The suggested donation is $15, which goes towards paying for staff and performers as well as local community programs. Events will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Halsted St. from Addison to Grace St.
Last but not least, whether you’re attending Chicago Pride or a local event or celebrating the month in whatever way is most meaningful to you, we hope you have a wonderful Pride month and wish you all the best.
