The track that some can say crossed David Guetta into the Mainstream, When Love Takes Over featuring Kelly Rowland, landed #1 on Billboard’s list of Top Dance Pop Collaborations Of All Time.
As the rising tide of Dance Music and the new buzz word EDM started to come ashore, the French producer, David Guetta entered the spotlight and entered the charts. The track appeared on David Guetta’s 2008 album called One Love, which was his fourth studio album. The album had massive success with three tracks charting in the US and the UK. He would go on to release his 5th studio album, Nothing But The Beat which contained 5 hits including Titanium.
His counterpart in the track, Kelly Rowland rose to fame as a founding member of Destiny’s Child, one of the best selling girls group. The group faded in 2008 after a series of changes group members. Kelly Rowland released her first solo album in 2002, but some can say never achieved the high level success outside of the dance world again until David Guetta’s collaboration.
