Diplo Helped Produce Beyoncé’s Lemonade

The pairing of Diplo and Skrillex in Jack Ü has catalyzed a completely new era for both, as they move to projects outside of traditional EDM. After Skrillex’s production credits on Bieber’s album Purpose, Diplo has officially announced to have worked on Beyoncé’s recent Lemonade.

While Beyoncé has made it a habit now, to surreptitiously drop fully finished albums out of nowhere, it is to her credit she has been able to squeeze in more genres of music into an album than anyone else on Lemonade. “Hold Up” might yet be the best song on Lemonade, with Beyoncé’s gleeful automobile destruction, the simple-yet-engaging Diplo beat, and its overall message, it is quite a song.

Revealing his role in the creation of Lemonade, Diplo wrote “Had to keep this secret for like a year but I’m just happy you can finally hear the songs we made w @beyonce for Lemonade … I’m actually singing background vocals on ‘All Night.’ I’m not sure why she kept them in there.”
