Fans of Don Diablo who have ever been to any of his live sets will notice that the Dutch DJ plays a track called “Heaven” that they’ve never heard released on any of his albums or official releases. People were particularly surprised that it didn’t find its way onto ‘FUTURE,’ the album Don dropped this past February. That’s because there are no plans to release the track at all.
EDM Sauce reports that Don responded to a fan’s inquiry about the fate of ‘Heaven,’ and he said that it will not make it onto the streaming platforms due to label disputes. “The vocalist’s management have put an indefinite hold on the song’s release. It appears to be dead in the water.”
Twitter user @zeevthompson said, “I don’t know but I need that track ‘heaven’ that your [sic] always playing in your sets released.” Don then replied, “The singer + mgmt won’t let me release the song. So it will never come out I’m afraid. So it will stay an exclusive in my sets for now…”
Don Diablo seems to reflect his fans’ disappointment himself. He tweeted about his disappointment in the industry on March 1st: “I truly wish the music industry wasn’t filled with money hungry assholes that have zero empathy or connection with artists and artistry.”

It seems clear that Don is here for the music, not the money, and that he wants to share everything he’s got with his fans. There have been no follow ups on this particular tweet since then, however, so all are left wondering how things are going in the world of Don Diablo.
