Cash Money Records Scores a “Victory” : Karine Hannah Interview

Karine Hannah doesn’t quite fit the mold at Cash Money records, which is home to artists like Nicky Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Paris Hilton. So naturally, it intrigued us to find out how she ended up at Cash Money. The hip hop music powerhouse has been dabbling with pop dance music as of late with Paris Hilton, but Karine Hannah is different. She’s a grassroots singer songwriter who is still “under development,” meaning she hasn’t been packaged the way Nicky Minaj was. She hasn’t been told what to sing, what to wear, or how to behave yet — essentially Karine Hanna is an indie artist, but with a major label behind her — and that is unheard of, so we sat down with Karine to find out how she ended up on Cash Money in Miami during MMW/WWC.

Karine Hannah was our special guest during Nexus Radio’s MMW party in Miami. She performed her hit “Burnin’ Up” and her newest single “Victory.”
