Kylie Minogue is returning to the screen, where the musician got her start before exploring her musical side. The new Australia focused film will be directed by Stephan Elliott, who also directed the Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. The film is also reuniting in her co-star Neighbor’s co-start, Guy Pearce.
The film will be set in a sleepy beachside suburb of Australia circa 1975, when, at the height of the sexual revolution the country was shook by political crisis. The film covers a week span time frame, in which an event changes the lives of a teenage boy and girl. The film’s title is Flammable Children is set to begin shooting in Australia this fall.
Kylie has gone on to star in Baz Luchmann’s 2001 Moulin Rouge and 2014’s San Andreas.
