The conversation soon turned to his music. Lucky Luke highlighted his recent collaboration with Don Diablo, a project that set the tone for a year of experimentation. “I started the year with the collab with Don Diablo, so yeah, since then I was just experimenting with more genres,” he said. One of his most intriguing ventures is a solo track set to drop in early November—a drum and bass reinterpretation of Brandy’s classic ’90s R&B hit “I Wanna Be Down.” Explaining the inspiration, Lucky Luke said,

“The tempo is perfect for drum and bass, you know. And I had to try, like, just to remix it.”

Lucky Luke also reflected on the creative themes that drive his music. For him, the key lies in perpetual exploration. “Always search for something new, I guess. Like, keep exploring and don’t be stuck in one place,” he advised. When reminiscing about his career highlights, he described the summer of 2020 as particularly rewarding, when his track “Cooler Than Me” gained massive traction across Europe, solidifying his presence on the dance music map.

The conversation shifted to the current state of the dance music industry. Lucky Luke acknowledged the pressure artists face in an era of rapid change, driven by platforms like TikTok. “I hope that it’s gonna stop being so chaotic,” he said, expressing a desire for more stability in the creative process and less frenzied shifts in trends.

As the interview unfolded, Lucky Luke spoke warmly about the influence of his Lithuanian roots. He admitted that the harsh winters of his homeland have shaped his music, infusing it with depth and moodiness. He expressed gratitude to his close collaborator Domantas, who played a pivotal role in transforming his casual passion for music into a flourishing career.

As the conversation drew to a close, Lucky Luke thanked Nazem and Nexus Radio for the chance to connect with his audience and share his journey. “It’s always great to talk about what I love and to give fans a peek into what’s coming next,” he said.
