Madonna has signed up to make another movie based off of an adaption of Rebecca Walker’s debut novel, Ade: A Love Story. Her last movie was W.E. which made $773,690.10 at the global box office in 2011.Not only is Madonna a pop artist and director; she is also a children’s author and political activist.

The story is about the author’s experiences and how she resolves them around college along with following in love with the main character; a young Swahili man. The two characters plan to marry and live a simple life in Kenya but those plans are ruined when a civil war breaks out and threatens to tear them apart.

Madonna will be working along side Bruce Cohen who is best known for his work on “American Beauty”, “Milk”, and “Silver Linings Playbook, his director of development Jessica Leventhal, and the author.The screenwriter has not yet been chosen to adapt the book but the group is in the process of looking.

Madonna went to her ex-husbands Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn for advice on directing her first movie.She said: ”I talked to Sean about making the film, and he’s always been supportive of me. I gave the screenplay to Guy and shared the concepts and the stories and the ideas with him because he was interested in it from a historical point of view.”
