Indians have received a very special gift this Diwali. Earlier in the month, Diplo revealed that his dancehall trio Major Lazer would be releasing an Indian version of their latest hit, “Cold Water.” Now, Major Lazer has released the Diwali Edition of the track.

Honoring the Hindu festival of lights, the track employs gorgeous string elements along with the soothing percussion of traditional Indian classical, as Major Lazer fill the backdrop behind Justin Bieber’s vocals. A highly impressive remix courtesy a solid effort of Anirudh, the Justin Bieber and MØ assisted hit has a classical Indian fusion touch which further enhances the global reach of the iconic tune.

Diplo also took to Twitter to announce that Major Lazer will be releasing new music in January. Fans have been waiting for the follow up to 2015’s Peace Is The Mission for a while now, and it looks like Love Is The Weapon will be out at the beginning of next year.
