Michael Phelps Reveals Who He Listens To Before A Race

By now, we are well and truly stuck into the 2016 Olympics, and if you’re looking for gold, you don’t really need to go further than Michael Phelps. Phelps finished his career that spanned over five Olympics with 23 gold medals and 28 medals in total. No other athlete in any sport has more than 9 gold medals.

Between the death stares, Jedi-like hood wearing, and those large red circles all over his body, have you ever wondered how Michael Phelps pumps himself up for these incredible races?

In a short video for NBC, Phelps admitted “The music that I’ve been listening to this time around…I’ve got some old school hits. I’ve been going out to some old-school Eminem when I get to the pool, and then I change it up to… Nero and Skrillex “Promises”…EDM,” said Phelps. “Got some old-school [Steve] Aoki in the mix from 2008…”

NBC also has also reported that the swimmer was listening to Afrojack and Steve Aoki’s 2011 record, “No Beef,” ahead of Saturday’s 4×100-meter medley relay.
