NYC Pride, also known as Heritage of Pride, has announced the distribution of $75,000 in grants to 11 nonprofit organizations supporting New York City’s LGBTQIA+ community. The funding comes through the organization’s long-running “Pride Gives Back” initiative, a program dedicated to expanding vital services, advocacy, and community-building efforts across the city.
The 2026 round of funding places a strong emphasis on uplifting underserved populations, including trans, gender non-binary (GNB) and gender non-conforming (GNC) individuals, as well as LatinX, BIPOC, low-income, and immigrant communities. The grants aim to bridge critical funding gaps often left by larger institutions and public agencies.
“The nonprofits that serve our community need our support now more than ever,” said Im Lynde, Executive Director of NYC Pride. “We are proud to help strengthen the organizations working every day to provide services, advocacy, and community-building programs to our most underserved LGBTQIA+ neighbors.”

Since its inception in 1984, NYC Pride’s “Pride Gives Back” program has distributed more than $25 million to organizations working at the forefront of LGBTQIA+ advocacy, services, and cultural preservation. In addition to nonprofit funding, NYC Pride also supports local businesses and vendors through its Working Grants program, helping sustain the broader ecosystem that brings Pride events to life each year.
As NYC Pride continues to expand its impact, the organization has confirmed that applications for the next round of funding will open in early 2027, offering even more opportunities for grassroots organizations to access critical resources.
In a time when many community groups face increasing financial challenges, initiatives like “Pride Gives Back” serve as a vital lifeline—ensuring that the voices, needs, and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ individuals across New York City remain supported, visible, and empowered.
