Paul van Dyk, one of the most distinctive and significant names in dance music, has announced the arrival of his new VENTURE X live event concept in February 2023 in North America!
Whether he’s conquering festival stages, choosing his own showcases, or testing the limits of electronic music from his studio, Paul van Dyk has established a reputation that cannot be overlooked. This scene mover and shaker has continuously been at the pinnacle of his expertise for years, leaving an enduring impression on his worldwide fanbase by producing performances that feast on the audience’s energy.
Nothing seems out of reach for the German trance music trailblazer. Paul van Dyk is among the most notable figures in dance music, having been in the scene’s spotlight for more than three decades. As a consistent name in the DJ Mag Top 100 polls, the Grammy-nominated musician, globally acclaimed DJ, and audio architect is widely regarded as one of the scene’s strongest attributes.
2022, like any other year, has been a year of feats that only Paul van Dyk can accomplish. Following the release of several exciting singles this year and his appearance at London’s legendary Printworks, Paul Van Dyk has NOW officially confirmed VENTURE X.
VENTURE X is an interesting fresh idea in which the master DJ and curator picks out the best trance, progressive house, and techno music accessible and curates it all into one unforgettable night. Van Dyk is well-known for feeding off his fans, concentrating on the improvisational art of DJing and editing songs on the fly. However, with an emphasis on harnessing the unforeseen, familiar sounds are offered in a different context. In the announcement, Paul van Dyk mentioned: “VENTURE X allows me to explore the width of what electronic music means to me, not just what people expect me to play. It allows me the space to play what I think people should really know, feel, and be exposed to. People know me for trance, but there is so much more.
“VENTURE X allows me to do this as a musical concept because I won’t play 130 BPM straight through but rather a wider musical experience. With most DJ sets, I find you either have techno but missing the progressive sequence that takes you on a journey, or you have a progressive sound that’s missing the punch. For me, that’s what it’s about, the drive, the push, the pull, and the memories you create,” the DJ added.
The run of shows, delivered as a live music notion, will begin on February 17, 2023, in North America, with eight dates from February to March in New York, Montreal, Toronto, Pontiac, Portland, Denver, Austin, and San Francisco.
