The artist known as Prince, passed away on April 21st at his home near Minneapolis.  He was 57.   He was known for taking on the music industry and his flight for creative freedom.

In the recent months, Prince had fell ill and cancelled at least one of his concerts, with his plane making an emergency landing.

A seven time Grammy Award winner, he has been nominated 30 times and his singles have topped the charts 5 times with 14 tracks in the top 10.   During his peak, he won an Oscar for his original song score to the classic film “Purple Rain”.
