Two of EDM’s finest artists, Illenium and Seven Lions have enchanted fans over the years with their spellbinding productions. Their fans have long harkened for a collaboration between the two and their wish has finally come to fruition.
During his live set at Das Energi Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, Illenium debuted a massive upcoming collaboration with Seven Lions and Denver based artist Said The Sky. While Seven Lions has previously remixed Illenium’s “Fortress” off the Colorado producer’s debut album Ashes, this marks their first official collaboration together on an original track.
Titled “Rush Over Me,” the soon to be released collaboration features topline duties from Haliene, as heard when the song was played at Das Energi. “Rush Over Me” delivers emotional melodies and dreamy production values, as Haliene’s powerful singing runs over cascading synth chords. The collab features a classic melodic dubstep sound reminiscent of Seven Lion’s earlier work, opening with angelic female vocals over a celestial chord progression — a return to Seven Lions’ hallmark style which first brought the California producer to notoriety back in 2011 and 2012.
“Rush Over Me” is scheduled to hit the shelves on October 10, but you can enjoy the clip below.
