Best known for his singles “Are You with Me” (2014) and “Reality” (2015), which both enjoyed tremendous success internationally, Lost Frequencies is a Belgian DJ and producer with more than a handful of musical hits and awards under his belt. He is the first Belgian artist to have 5 hit singles chart at #1 on Ultratop chart and to hit #1 in the UK.
In 2016, he won the Echo Award for Hit of the Year with “Are You with Me.” That year was an active one for Lost Frequencies: it was also the year he released debut album Less is More with Armada. The following year, he landed on the 2017 DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll at #26, the highest-ranking new entry for that year.
Last year, he released his sophomore studio album, “Alive and Feeling Fine.” The album includes “Beat of My Heart,” a clear fan favorite that has enjoyed millions of listens across streaming platforms.
The young artist is just getting started: earlier this year, he released an EP, Cup of Beats. The six-track EP features hit singles “Love to Go” and “One More Night,” as well as collaborations with artists like Flynn, Mathieu Koss, and Easton Corbin. The artist has been keeping busy in the studio during this pandemic; he even released a deluxe version of the album with deluxe mixes of “You,” “Don’t Leave Me Now,” and “One More Night.”
Perhaps what many Belgians will describe as the highest honor an artist could receive, Lost Frequency was invited to perform at the Royal Belgian Palace by the royal family. A recording of his captivating rooftop performance can be found online and is definitely a worthwhile watch for EDM lovers across the world.

Q; Before we dig in, tell us about your latest project.
Hey guys! We just released the Deluxe Versions of my singles ‘One More Night’, ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ and ‘You’ taken from my Cup Of Beats EP that I really wanted to give fans during this tough year! As well as that, I was lucky enough to be invited to perform on the roof of the Royal Belgian Palace by invitation of our royal highness to initiate the opening of virtual tour of the location. It was one of the most exciting sets I’ve been lucky enough to play and it felt like such a badge of recognition – you can re-live it back on my YouTube channel!
Q; What cocktail (or drink) recipe is getting you through the pandemic?
I like a gin and tonic!
Q; What is your first musical memory?
I have lots of memories growing up with a family that loved music so it would probably be listening to records with my Father at home.
Q: What’s the most useless talent you have?
Being a goofball!
Q; If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Do we only live once?
Q: You must survive in the Amazon Rainforest for a year. Which 3 DJs or industry friends would you take with you and why?
I would take three members of my live band with me, so we could at least be together to practice! Our live tour was put on hold early with the effects of the pandemic, so I’m itching to see them all and get back to putting on a great show for our fans!
Q: Which fictional character would be the most exciting to meet in real life?
Felix The Cat, who I actually have a tattoo of!
Q: Amsterdam, New York, or Tokyo?
I really enjoy Tokyo, although New York might be a close second!
Q: Do you sing in the shower?
I do – maybe some 90s pop or dance like Haddaway for instance, where I got my inspiration for ‘What Is Love 2020’ from!
Q: And finally, what’s on your Netflix watch list?
Surprisingly, although we’ve been in lockdown and quarantine times, I’ve been spending most of my time in the studio, it’s my favorite place to be although I do enjoy Peaky Blinders!
