Harry Hope – better known as Odd Mob – has been bringing out bouncing beats for over a decade now, topping the Australian charts and building up a base of dedicated fans.
This year he’ll be joining the incredible lineup of Ultra Music Festival 2025 in Miami and to celebrate that, we’ve decided to take a look back over twelve years of Odd Mob and talk about the unique sound he’ll be bringing to the stage.
ODD MOB Origins
The first thing you should know about Odd Mob is that they weren’t always a solo act. Back when they released their first single (2013’s “The Tribe”), Harry Hope and Robbie Jacobs were a DJ double act.
The pair’s big success came with the breakout hit “Is It a Banger?” – a fun and funny track with a slightly satirical twist. After the track went viral on social media, the pair continued to produce music together for several years before Robbie ultimately decided to leave in 2017, in order to pursue other passions.

The Big Comeback
In many ways 2022 marked a major comeback for Odd Mob. With the brand new track “Left to Right” making major waves in the DJ world, it wasn’t long before he started releasing a string of official remixes, a trend that’s continued ever since.
Not that there haven’t also been plenty of fresh tracks to keep the fans going. From tracks like “All Day, All Night” and “Club Rompas” to 2024’s powerfully hypnotic “Vertigo”, the Odd Mob sound is certainly still going strong.
In the years since his return, a handful of truly incredible artists have come forward to lend him their support. Names like Skrillex, John Summit, and even Soulja Boy have complimented his work, helping to bring him the recognition he truly deserves.
ODD MOB at Ultra
Joining the Friday lineup at this year’s Ultra Music Festival, US fans will finally get the chance to hear Odd Mob live on stage along countless other incredible acts.
Of course, Odd Mob’s not the kind of artist who struggles to stand out from the crowd and we’re sure he’ll bring his uniquely quirky style to Ultra Miami in full force. In amongst the big beats and techno champions, Odd Mob will no doubt provide a much needed moment of lighthearted fun, whether that be through his surreal sense of humour or his infinitely catchy tracks.
